A rant about the design of the Hi & CFS

In the past couple of weeks, I’ve had the PTFE connector on the back of the CFS pop out, along with a god-awful rats nest of filament before it stopped. The tube didn’t come out - the connector did. The connector that’s molded into the CFS buffer in the bottom of the unit. I emailed cs@creality.com and received a reply a week later stating that the ticket was closed. Zero questions, zero answers, just “The ticket has been closed.”

Today, the PTFE tube on top of the extruder popped out (again spewing filament like the little girls pea-soup on The Excorsist). Push the tube back in, pulls straight back out. Zero grip to the fitting. Ok, no problem, a fitting is cheap and I can replace that. WRONG. It, too, is molded into the extruder housing. So, that $0.50 connector now cost me $25.49 for a new extruder.

Put some damn threaded metal inserts in your parts, with threaded fittings!
