I tried to update firmware and now the machine beeps loudly and the screen won’t come on at all.

You’ll Have to Reflash the software in the Printer, Verify Correct components such as mainboard number. Make sure you have a 32gb microsd card or lower, follow their (creality downloads) instructions for reflashing the printer. Then youll have to open the display and reflash the display as follows per their instructions.
