Hi, I purchased a new Falcon 2 Pro 22W and try to use latest Falcon Design Space (FDS) software.
Why is there no documentation or help available for FDS? I face several issues I am unable to resolve:
1. The main issue is that the camera doesn’t focus at all in the last calibration step where the engraved wood panel is used to identify absolute coordinates within the field of view. The engraving is very sharp, and I use external lighting as well. Yet when zooming in to the four markers I can hardly make out the engraved lines due to excessive blur and very poor contrast. This is not what I’d expect fromm a HD camera module.
2. What influence does the “Processing Height” setting have on the camera calibration? What does “Processing height” even mean? Sometimes I see two additional preset fields pop up next to this one. There is no information what any of these mean.
3. When entering processing height “3 mm”, do I have to place a 3mm thick underlay underneath the calibration card to get the focus plane right?
4. All the tutorials on camera calibration refer to Lightburn, so they are of no use for the finer details when using FDS.
Can anybody please point me to a complete documentation on FDS and the calibration process?
