CFS-C - K1C 2024

Hi everyone,

I have a Creality K1C (2024 version) and I’m trying to understand the compatibility with the new CFS-C

I’ve seen mixed information so far. On one hand, the official website lists the K1C as compatible, but support told me that the CFS-C is not compatible with the 2024 units. From what I understand, there might be hardware differences between early K1C models (2024) and newer revisions (sometimes referred to as 2025).

So I’d like to clarify:

  • Has anyone successfully used the CFS-C with a K1C 2024?

  • Does it require any hardware modification or upgrade kit?

  • Are there firmware limitations or recognition issues?

  • Is this officially unsupported, or just not guaranteed?

I’m trying to avoid buying the CFS-C and running into compatibility problems, so any real-world experience or clarification would really help.

From my understanding, it is mostly depending on the motherboard. Do you know the version of your board ? It should be written on it

I was able to get mine to work until I moved; now there is an error (FS5007). “Abnormal communication between the cutter buffer module and the main unit. Please check if the communication interface is loose.”

I haven’t been able to get past the error. Creality Support sent me some parts, but I don’t see where they belong in the cutter buffer. I’m currently waiting for a reply from them. As of right now, I would not recommend buying it until there is better support out for it.
