Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with my CR Falcon 10W laser. Whenever I send any job to the machine — whether it’s text, a logo, or a simple shape — it starts the engraving process but only produces short horizontal lines along the Y-axis. It doesn’t follow the actual design, and nothing else gets engraved.
Still, the laser just moves slightly on the Y-axis and fires short strokes, almost like it’s stuck in a loop. No proper motion on X-axis, and no full design gets processed.
Has anyone experienced this? Could it be a firmware bug, controller issue, or something mechanical?
Before few days work properly
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Update:
Hi everyone, I’m having a serious issue with my CR Falcon 10W laser. After accidentally connecting it to the same USB port I previously used for another laser, the Falcon started misbehaving — it only outputs strange gibberish patterns (random horizontal lines, symbols, etc.) instead of proper engraving. I suspected it was a LightBurn or firmware issue, so I: Flashed the latest firmware to the controller board Reset all settings Tried different design files and formats But nothing helped — the laser still behaves erratically and doesn’t follow any design properly. It’s like it’s stuck in a corrupted mode. I’m starting to think I need to fully reflash the mainboard, possibly with a clean bootloader or factory image. Has anyone done this before on the Falcon CR10W? Any tips or confirmed firmware sources? Thanks in advance, Bruno
