Hey everyone ![]()
The Creality Hi is my first 3D printer, and honestly, I’ve learned a lot from it. Not because it’s the most reliable machine, but because it forces you to understand how 3D printers actually work. After 500+ hours of print time, I realized that nearly 200 hours were spent on failed prints.
Everything started with a single filament jam. I disassembled the extruder and hotend, cleaned everything thoroughly, and it looked like the issue was fixed—until the same problem came back a few days later. Since then, I’ve basically been tearing the printer down every two days because I have no choice.
I also had some bed adhesion issues earlier on, but I managed to solve those with temperature tuning.
The printer has completed some large projects, and I’m genuinely proud of what it can do, but at this point, I’m also pretty fed up. Today’s jam was different from the usual ones. I cleaned the hotend again and successfully printed a Benchy before starting another file, but the same issue occurred—the printer was moving as if it were printing, but no filament was coming out.
It turned out to be a software issue, and updating Creality Print fixed it temporarily. After that, it printed fine… until the very next job, when the filament jammed again. Now it’s 5:30 a.m., and I can’t sleep.
Thanks for reading, and sorry for the long post.
And one more thing- 1/3 of the time it makes clicking sounds.
Thanks a lot for your attention!!! ![]()
