I have a k1 max 3d printer and last night while moving it to a new desk I dropped in and the control screen took the brunt. When I recovered and turned her on I realised the screen was dead (no sign of damage).
So I turned her over and had a look inside. The ribbon from the screen to the motherboard was half out but when I tried to refit I broke the little black piece that holds it in place. I also noticed one of he blue lights was flashing.
You probably can get a new connector, but it is soldered to the board and I don’t know if you have the skill to repair that!
Google is your Blue-Led-Friend:
A blue LED on the Creality K1 Max mainboard usually indicates normal power or boot status, but if it’s flashing or paired with a black screen/no function, it often signals a problem like a firmware issue, loose connections (especially the ribbon cable to the display), or a short circuit, potentially requiring a USB bootloader flash or tightening screws on the board. Solid blue lights are generally okay, while flickering or no lights with other symptoms point to troubleshooting steps like checking cables, fuses, and screws.
Thanks, I have replaced the display cable in case that was damaged but just the same. It is the black holding clip that appears to be the problem, the original is broken. I am not good at soldering so I just need the bit that holds the cable. Does anyone know if these can be purchased separately? If so is there a part number.
