One of my K1 max is getting clogged constantly due to heat creep. I’m printing Creality hyper PLA with the lid off. The heat sink fan is working, but I can feel that the heat sink is much hotter to the touch then on the others printer that are working normally (when the nozzle is at 100°C the heat sink is hotter to the touch then the others printers with the nozzle at 200°C). I tried to replace the fan and the temperature sensor, but it didn’t help. Does anyone have any suggestion on what could be happening?

I don’t know if this will fix the problem, but the simplest thing to try would be opening the front door as well as removing the lid. This may help keep the chamber temperature down, depending on how warm the room is. I’ve sometimes aimed a small fan under the build plate to help.
Also, keep an eye on the chamber temperature shown on the printer’s screen. If opening the door stops the clogging, heat buildup inside the chamber is probably contributing to the heat creep. However, since that heat sink is getting much hotter than the ones on your other printers, there may still be another issue restricting airflow or preventing heat from transferring properly.
Thanks, I tried to keep the door open as well, but it didn’t help. It usually clogs in under 10 min, and I’ve had it clog when doing just extrusion (so bed heater off). The room is 24°C and all printers are in the same room, so I think something else is happening.

It may be worth stripping the head down and checking if there is an application of themal paste.
this can have a dramatic effect on temperatures.
