I am wanting to change the size of the collision border that you get when you print by object.
As it appears and measures out, the cushion provided would represent the dimensions of the print head around each object and thus you are kept at double the distance from the next object nearby, creating wasted void.
Is there a way to reduce this? I need the printing capacity!
TIA,
William
So here is an example. Even if I spread everything out, I still mut consider the object height being hit by the x-bar. This warning is not illustrated in the software but is also an exaggerated value.
I would have to measure and compare but pretty sure this will not be an issue. The distance back from completing 1 then 2 and so forth is adequate regarding the x-bar.
How to do switch off these errors. As you can see in the bottom right, I cannot slice the plate. Is there another slicer that will allow this?
UH OH - Willi figured it out! Its not hard but shame on this community for not pointing it out.
5 Pcs is easy so I rotated them and could get the 6th in there.
I haven’t found the extruder to back bar setting yet as the vertical clearance is approriate. But the backward clearance is set to 0-ish. It could be changed to 20.
Also, i have a 140mm tall item to print and there IS 160mm clearance to the lid - as long as you are careful the cable chain wont hit it.
Ok, so rotating was not necessary. Here you can see the bar height has been dangerously raised, but you have to be careful about positioning any time you print by object.
Cautionary word of advice is you must print front left to the right and backwards. Because of the screwey Creality programming, the head will sometimes like to dart off across the bed having no respect for previously printed objects in its way. Garbage QC.
