Extruded clicking and no filament coming out

I’ve had my Ender 3-pro for less than a mont (I bought it used though.) and I’m having issues with the extruder; the filament won’t go through the nozzle and there are no clogs there’s a clack clack sound as the extruded tries to push the filament but it won’t, I just replaced both the gear and motor and it still doesn’t work. What should I do?

My ender 3 pro started doing the same thing. Did you change filament types? Did you take the Bowden tube out and check it for clogs? Look down into the hot end to see if it’s clean. There could still be melted filament that’s stuck to the side walls inside the nozzle. Make sure the end of the Bowden tube hasn’t gotten damaged from heat. If you have the original extruder, replace it with an aluminum one. Beware though, if you get a double drive extruder, you’ll have to recalibrate the flow which is a pain. Also get a Creality brand. Many off brands are junk and unless you’re a machinist, you’ll be pulling your hair out trying to make it work properly (even if they say it works on an Ender 3).
Another thing to check is the size of the filament. I changed to PETG after using PLA and didn’t clean out the nozzle. That started my whole problem. I also discovered that the new filament measured 1.60mm not the required 1.75mm. The brand I bought is sending a replacement roll, since it was out of the minimum specs. Hope this helps.
