Howdy folks, I have a ender3 v-3 se it has been working great. I am a newbie and have about 25 builds under my belt. I have been trying to start a project for a about a week and the same thing happens it will not stick to the bed and starts forming a ball around the tip.
Hello Roger1,
Could you provide a bit more detail please, such as …
Filament type
Temperatures used
Any modifications
Pictures
Bed mesh
It will give us a better way to suggest things to check/adjust.
Cheers.
Hi Roger, Did you change something ? did you calibrate ? this seems to be very common problem with the V3 SE, with the 1st layer not sticking to the bed. I had the same problem, after replacing a blocked nozzle and calibrating, When I calibrate, my bed level comes up reasonably ok, but the Z offset gets reset also. On my machine I have to readjust the Z offset manually to get the filament to stick to the plate. I don’t think it is just my machine, if you read through the forum there are a few people suffering. A lot of people blame the build plate, (I did too at first) I bought a new plate, but now I am still using the original plate, it works really good with PLA. Give it a try, but be careful, adjust it down slowly 1 or 2 increments at a time, don’t let it hit the build plate.
I had massive issues with this, from one perfect print to another and after that the first layver would not stick and it would just roll fat blobs.
I cant even remember everything i checked…
Different filaments pla/petg, change nozzle, check the extruder clean and check travel distance, clean the print bed with ipa etc, etc, etc
After a week or so “by mistake” i had the petg profile 240c/70c loaded in orca when using pla in the printer…and the first layer went down perfectly, the entire print came out perfectly…re ran the pid tune but the issue persists.
This makes me wonder if the termister has degraded…i have never had this kind of issue on any of my 5 printers, and never heard of a termister going “slightly” bad, its usually a case of its borked install a new one.
Anyone else has this “issue” ?
