Hi Combo c2341 error

My Hi Combo has a C2341 error and I can not get it to work. I have loaded the latest firmware on a Usb but after inserting still gives the error. I s there a way to reset the error?

Sound like you need new mainboard.

The C2341 error on a Creality Hi (often tied to the Creality Filament System / CFS combo) typically relates to a filament feeding, retraction, or cutter lever issue where the toolhead cannot properly cycle, cut, or clear the filament path. [1, 2, 3]

Fixing the C2341 Error

  • Check the Cutter Lever: Make sure the physical filament cutter lever on the extruder moves smoothly and isn’t jammed by debris or stuck in place. [1]

  • Inspect for Jams: Remove the extruder cover to check for broken pieces of filament or debris blocking the path or hindering the cutter mechanism. [1, 2, 3]

  • Check the CFS Connections: Ensure all black communication cables running to the CFS and the printer port are firmly plugged in and re-seated properly. [1]

  • Relieve Tube Tension: Disconnect the PTFE tubing carefully to clear any stuck filament stringing or tension trapped near the buffer. [1]

C2341 (or Key:2341) error on Creality multi-color and enclosed ecosystem printers (such as the Creality Hi/Hi Combo and related flagship series) typically relates to a firmware version mismatch or a communication failure/exception between the mainboard and sub-components like the Filament System (CFS) or toolhead. It often triggers after partial or mismatched firmware updates between the printer and its accessories.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Match Firmware Versions: Ensure your printer firmware and any connected multi-color/CFS module firmware are completely up-to-date and running matching compatible versions. Downgrading one component without the other often triggers this exception.

  • Perform a Power Cycle: Turn off the printer completely, unplug it for 60 seconds, and turn it back on to clear temporary communication glitches.

  • Check Toolhead & CFS Connections: Inspect the main communication cables running to the printhead toolhead board and the filament buffer/hub system to ensure nothing is loose or unseated.

  • Re-flash Firmware via USB: If the system is soft-locked or throwing persistent exception loops, download the official recovery/update package from the Creality Official Download Center, place it on a freshly formatted USB drive, and perform a manual reinstall.
