HUGE print quality issue after Creality Print upgade to version 7.3.0

Hi everybody,

Yesterday, Creality Print popup the update message. It propose to update to version 7.3.0 (I was in version 7.2.1).

I click on the Update button and the update went good.

Right after, I had a small object to print again, so I load the STL file, slice it and launch the print.

The result was catastrophic (and I’m still very nice). It look like underextrusion. I check the print and filament preset and they are liek it was before update. I test few thing without success.

Nothing has change, same filament, same bed type, etc.

By check in the different menu of the K2, I realize that I could browse the print history and relaunch a print again. So I find the print that I did last week and relaunch it directly from the printer. The result was superb.

Than I realize the issue is at the slicer level. I check few thing, assure that I use the same parameter but the test result was still very bad.

After some time, I just give up. It was working well on version 7.2.1 so I just downgrade Creality Print.

Regards

From what I’ve read in other forum posts, the Creality Print update may erase custom nozzle and print head settings. You may want to roll back to an earlier version or, if possible, restore those settings from a backup. Otherwise, you may need to recreate them.

Good luck—I hope you get a satisfactory result. Happy printing!

Hi,

I also have an issue with 7.3.

When opening an existing STL and then editting e.g. support on/off, the build plate looks empty, but when slicing it the object reappear.

Where to report this to Creality?

After I updated the “Send Only” button disappeared in the”Send to LAN printer” Window. Possibly because CP could not find my printer. I tried many things, slower Wifi, fixed IP , etc but noting worked till I downgraded back to 7.2.1. 24 hours later I retried 7.3.0 and lo and behold its working? So frustrating
