Due to my complete inexperience with these things, I absolutely do not know what the name of the thing is. We all were in this position once, not knowing anything, so go easy on me!
We have this printer in our office at a small college Arts department, and we had a clog of some kind. Now, when the printer heats up to start, we get a lot of smoke and odor from the filament burning. Can we replace the part shown by the red arrow, and what is it called so that we can get a new one? Thanks!
I think replacing the entire hotend assembly is the easiest and safest option for you. Especially if filament leaked around the heater block and burnt plastic is producing smoke every time it heats up.
