I’m extremely disappointed with my Ender 3 V3 Plus.
A few months ago, I bought it second-hand from someone who couldn’t get it to work properly because the nozzle kept scraping against the prints. I started learning how to use and troubleshoot the printer myself, and honestly, I ended up loving it.
However, after some time, I suddenly started noticing a lot of VFA, Z banding, and Y banding on my prints. I get several different kinds of VFA and banding, along with random protruding and uneven horizontal lines across almost every part I print.
The most frustrating part is that there seems to be nothing I can do that will permanently solve the problem. I’ve spent countless hours trying to figure it out, testing different adjustments and troubleshooting every possible cause I could think of, and I’m still dealing with the same issue.
At this point, I honestly don’t know what else to adjust or what else to try.
I’ve searched through multiple websites, forums, Reddit posts, videos, and discussions, but I still haven’t found a solution. I’ve seen people adjusting belt tension, replacing nozzles, checking the toolhead, changing print settings, replacing stepper motors, and many other things.
I even read more than 300 messages in a thread here discussing similar problems, and yet nothing I’ve tried has completely solved my issue.
I paid a significant amount of money for this printer, and now it looks like I’ll have to spend even more money buying replacement stepper motors without even knowing whether that will actually fix the problem 100%.
What frustrates me the most is that Creality doesn’t seem to have made any clear statement about this issue, even though it appears that many Ender 3 V3 Plus owners are experiencing similar VFA/banding problems.
I really like this printer when it’s working properly, which makes this even more frustrating.
Has anyone actually managed to completely solve this problem? If so, what exactly did you change or replace?
