I just set up the K2 Plus I purchased and when trying to home the machine, I just get a bunch of horrible noise and errors. The X and Y axis seem to move fine manually, but when they move with the motors, it seems like something is off its track. Here is a video: IMG_1209.mp4 - Google Drive. The error messages are CY2577, CM2789, and CX2573. If anyone has any ideas, I’d appreciate it. This is so disappointing and it would be a nightmare to return this thing.
It does sound as though there’s something loose - others have found loose screws after shipping - you may have a screw come out and lodged somewhere in the X-Y carriage. I would have a good look around all the belt paths and check for loose and fallen out screws, and foreign objects in the motion paths. If you can’t find anything, you may want to take the back panel off and check the belt tensioners, again for foreign objects etc.
That sounds very much like the noise mine was making. The best advice is what Dangerous said. Check for loose screws etc… I would also look at the top of the chassis in the very back where the belts come through from the back of the case. In my case the top pulley is bent out of shape and is actually grinding metal shavings.
Check picture of inside of my machine.
