K1C Nozzle issues

Hi, I recently procured a k1c printer, and am relatively new to the hobby. I do have decent knowledge of it though  . Every few prints, the nozzle gets clogged really bad, and I’m using creality hyper play with the recomended settings like 220 for the nozzle. I did not have as many issues with aftermarket filaments, and I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issues with their printer, and what they might have done to help fix it.

PLA and every variant of it requires cooling, in other words, give your printer some air by removing the top lid, and keep the chamber temperature below 30°c. You can probably get to 35°c but that was end stop for me, after which I was getting clogs too. You can eventually get few degrees higher by adding a metal heatsink onto extruder itself, and replacing extruder gears with full metal ones.

But for the start, when printing with PLA, keep the lid off

Thanks so much! Im going to try this right away

Hey there…my K1C had the nozzle and throat not fully assembled. I just needed to use two wrenches to tighten them together and things were back in cahoots.

Enjoy. Also, sometimes when you add too much cooling from the GUI slicer software interface for your local and global options, it cools too much which causes errors and stoppages when printing.

I use 7.1.x on the Creality slicer software they have now.

Do you mean the 2 screws that hold the heat break on were loose?

No, the throat and nozzle were loose and that created some issues for me.

Okay. On other topics, i have noticed people mentioning that screws on the K1C are too short and should be replaced, espicially on the hotend. You should check those two screws frequently, as mine were very loose, and would soon have destroyed my print plate.
