I’m printing on my new K1C a simple rectangular shape with several round holes. At first, I was using non-Creality (but good quality) PLA filament. When I checked the print i saw a bunch of small chunks of PLA scattered about. Okay, I thought, maybe 100% speed is too much for that filament, so I loaded Creality Hyper PLA and started again. But this run also has chunks of PLA scattered about. Photo attached.
Has anyone seen this problem?
Should I not be printing at 100% speed even with the Creality “Hyper” PLA? I sliced the model in Creality Print 5.1 with the Hyper filament selected.

Hey There,
I have had trouble at printing at 600mm/sec. I think this idea is way to much speed for this light of a printer.
In theory, yes. One could print at this speed, i.e. which would make it way more interesting. I just do not see the 600mm/sec as fathomable for now. This is with my experience with the printer so far (K1C).
I have had very good success with under 300mm/sec and low fan speeds to keep the hot end heated. That fan they put on the hot end cools so quickly that the print inevitably stops due to some error on not heating or something.
If you can get above 300mm/sec, please reply. I would like to see about printing large prints on such a speed…
Seth
Thanks; good to know. I’ve been printing other filaments at 300 mm/s, but I assumed that Creality produced the Hyper filament specifically to print well with their high-speed printers. I guess not.
Back to 300; maybe I’ll try 400.

I’m not sure that is a speed problem.
Other factors like the Z offset needing adjustment because the filament is not sticking properly and lifting off the plate causing those chunks to be scraped off.
Cleaned build plate with Alcohol…?
Is the filament dry…?
Also what are your temp settings…?
I have not tried 300mm/sec yet or 400mm/sec yet. I will attempt it soon to try things out…

P.S. Nice!
The filament is sticking to the plate just fine. The bottom and sides print just fine. The debris is coming from the infill. The temperatures are the Creality Print settings for Creality Hyper filament. I tried 300 mm/s speed, and got the same problem.
Still trying to puzzle this out…

Sounds good…
Maybe try a Flow calibration check. Maybe it’s flowing more than it should so it knocks over the excess…? I’ve had to do that on my K1 Max where it was knocking over parts of a print…
Also when you are printing at a higher speed it doesn’t hurt to bump up the temps a little. I’m not sure if the Creality Print settings or the settings on the printer itself account for that… Just something to try…
Hello MineralMike,
Is the infill type Gyroid ?
If not, maybe try that type of infill.
Cheers.
No. Initially i had it set to grid, but now I’m trying cubic. The last job printed okay with reduced speeds, so i’m trying another one withe the same speeds, but the color i really want.
