K1C suddenly started scratching the bed repeatedly

I’ve had this K1C for almost a year and it was working fine until yesterday. Today I started the printer, sliced a model in Creality Print 7, and sent it to the printer. After printing an awful first layer, the printer started scratching the bed badly, so I turned it off.

I waited a moment, flipped the PEI plate, ran a mesh calibration, and sent a different model to print. This time it started scratching the bed during the first layer. I turned off the printer again, waited a few minutes, and tried once more. Same result as before: the first layer was scratched directly into the bed.

I did a quick search online but couldn’t find a clear solution. I saw some similar issues reported on K1 printers after a firmware update, but I haven’t updated my printer and it was working fine until yesterday.

Does anyone have suggestions about what might be causing this, or what I should check?

Did you manage to solve it?

I dealt with this issue throughout the day and couldn’t sort it out. I thought it might be something to do with my settings, so I reset the k1c and returned to crealityPrint using default profiles

Still, even setting z-offsets I couldn’t finde the right height; either the nozzle was stupidly away from the bed or close enough to scratch it

Nevermind, found out the nozzle screws had come loose so it was kinda dangling in the air

Sorry for the late response, yesterday find out the same as you!, both hotend screws where loose so the only thing that prevented hotend from falling off was the rubber protection cap. Tightened them and all back to normal, I think I’ll add some thread locking glue latter on, to avoid them to came loose again.
