K2 error TE2564

K2 combo. Haven’t even done a single print yet. During the initial calibration, got print error TE2564, not heating as expected. Customer service gave generic info and didn’t help fix it. Have a service order in to get more help, but won’t come In for 24-48 hours.

I have checked the wires and plugs they say to check on wiki. Everything looks good. No heat. Changed nozzles and no improvement. I have not run any filament through yet as I was in calibration mode.

I have heard this maybe from a firmware update. I have not done any firmware updates, it is how it is from the factory. The current firmware is 1.1.0.98

Does anyone have the older firmware I can download ending in 66? I heard this firmware was good. I Wanna try that.

any help is appreciated.

Changing nozzles doesn’t solve isseus with not heating correctly.

If you start heating the nozzle, does the temperature on the screen change? If not, you have to check both wires of the heating core if they are still attached to the heating core. I already had to replace the heating core once because one of the wires came loose.

I’m going through similar issues. I got the nozzle going then other errors started coming up. I’m going after the Print Head Cable (drag chain cable) as many have found this to be the problem.

Since you have a new system, the cable is probably O.K. just check that it is seated on both sides well. I re-seated mine and it would work for short prints, but eventually started throwing errors again.

… a few days later. Changed out the nozzle assembly. Still getting errors. I’m betting on the “Print Head Cable” next. new one arrives next week. It really sucks to have the printer down this long.

i dont know about that specific error, but most time when the message says “not heating as expected” its due to the nozzle, trust me, check if there is thermal paste on the spot should be of the nozzle, i saw many time people not putting or putting grease instead of thermal paste, and that message pops

I tried both nozzles. Even pulled off the little rubber cover and there is just no heat anywhere going there. Been talking a little bit back-and-forth with support and the chat. They have no solutions to it. I have already began the process of returning the unit. I don’t feel like fooling around with this if this is going to be a constant problem. I’m just going to get my money back and try another printer.

That its complety normal, i also do that and dont regret it, i returned my ender 3 v3 (not plus, the normal one that is exactly the same but smaller bed), because of constant error “CL2529” (homming error) that thing got me really mad, not even 30 days of purchase of the unit and always same error, i try everything and nothing worked, i got my money back, bought the Creality HI, never had a problem, i mean i got similar error but the machine solved by itself when pressing continue like nothing happened, but that error almost never happened to me again. this is a solid machine, i gotta say the ender 3 v3 was faster and had a little bit of better quality but that was when it was abble to print (of 10 prints only 2 where able to calibrate and start print)

My version of this problem came down to the “Print Head Cable” (the one that is inside the drag chain). Replaced nozzle, no change. replaced the entire “Ceramic Heating Block Kit”, no change. Replaced the “Print Head Cable” and everything is working great again.

I thought it was interesting, this cable has evolved considerab ly. The one in the instructional install video had very little heat shrink strain relief. The one in my machine had more, strain relief, but the one I ordered had a lot more strain relief, especially at the print head side. AND it was marked for polarity (which was painfully missing on earlier versions). Clearly Creality knows they have a problem here, but it does not appear that they have nailed a solution yet.
