Every time I print, the bed drops ut of level and the print is stopped with a generic error. I used fluid multiple times and everything is synced fine. I’m trying to replace the Z stepper motor but I cannot find a replacement. And creality will not respond to my emails. I’m so frustrated. I have a very expensive boat anchor in my garage. Has anyone else had this problem? And how did you solve it?
Hi @buckysfirst
Trust you are well.
You could try checking a few things before replacing the Z stepper. On a few K2 Plus units people have found that the issue wasn’t actually the motor itself but something in the Z system losing sync or encountering resistance. It’s worth powering the printer off and manually moving the bed up and down to see if it feels smooth on both sides. If there’s any binding or uneven movement, clean the lead screws and make sure they’re lightly lubricated.
Also check the Z motor cables inside the side panels and reseat the connectors if possible. A loose connection can cause one motor to momentarily lose sync, which makes the bed tilt and the printer will stop the print with a generic error. Running a full calibration again after that can sometimes resync everything.
Another thing that has helped some users is deleting the existing bed mesh and running the full calibration process again, ideally with the bed heated. In a few cases the bed had shifted slightly after removing prints, which caused the next print to fail until calibration was run again.
Let us know if any of this solves the problem
Support can be delayed at times due to them having to respond to lots of emails, but they generally tend to get back. If not, tell us so that we can try to escalate it with one of the forum admins to look into ![]()

I did do the resync, and that is fine. I also do not feel any resistance. I did not check the z motor cables yet, but I am supposed to have a new stepper motor coming. I have paid for it, I just am not able to submit the address collection form. Big surprise there.
I have also rebooted and recalibrated. I have done all that I have stated multiple times. Now I just need the part
