Title: K2 Pro Y-axis guide shaft / rod replacement specs supplied by Creality — 10 mm × 412 mm
I’m replacing the Y-axis guide shafts on my Creality K2 Pro. I requested specifications from Creality and received the following information. Sharing it for anyone sourcing replacements or having shafts made.
Manufacturer’s specification:
Y-axis guide shaft_D10_L412_-0.005 to -0.014_45# steel_chrome-plated
-
Nominal diameter: 10 mm
-
Length: 412 mm
-
Diameter tolerance: −0.005 to −0.014 mm, giving a finished diameter of 9.986–9.995 mm
-
Material: 45# steel
-
Surface: chrome-plated
-
Mounting screw: M4×8; Creality says the original may be reused if undamaged
-
Screwdriver bit: “3.0#”, as written in their reply
-
Tightening torque: 5.0 ± 0.2 kgf·cm, approximately 0.49 ± 0.02 N·m
This is for the K2 Pro. I haven’t confirmed these dimensions for the K2 or K2 Plus.
Creality did not provide mounting-hole positions, thread depths, or a dimensioned drawing. Anyone having replacements made will need to measure those features on their original shaft and have the supplier match them. This information is a starting point, not a complete machining drawing.
If anyone has measured the mounting-hole locations or obtained a complete drawing, please add that information in the comments.
