Hi! Recently, I was looking for an idea for a Mother’s Day print and thought it would be interesting to take something familiar and bring it into the world of 3D printing.
I’ve worked on similar modular, multi-part designs before, so I decided to create my own version of the iconic lightbox. All the letters, numbers, and symbols were designed by me from scratch in CAD. I also included a few of my favorite shapes from my previous projects.
At first, I designed a larger version, but it turned out that the light from a 60 mm round LED module didn’t fully illuminate the enclosure. That’s why I also created a smaller version, which doesn’t have this issue.
Choose the size that suits you best and have fun with your message. It’s a great project both for meaningful words and practical reminders.
