No 3D printer in lsusb at linux opensuse.

Hi all, I got a Ender-3 pro. Board version 4.2.2. When I connect my usb a -< b cable to my computer nothing is visible. Nothing in lsusb, nothing in dmesg. When the printer is off and i connect my usb the screen gets power.

Info: Marlin ver 1.0.1. 2020-04-25 Ender-3 pro Extruders: 1 Baudrate: 115200

Do i need different firmware? Is it impossible with this version of hardware?

I did try it in Windows 11 also. And here no printer to be find either.

Someone suggested to take out the voltage pin from the usb cable and keep the data pins only. I did that but no result. The display isn’t working on the usb only, i have to start the printer now for the display to work.
