I’ve been having issues with bed adhesion, one print it is fabulous and the very next print it would lift off and start to spaghetti, I’ve performed all of the usual remedies, wash with dawn and warm water, 91% alcohol, glue stick, adjusted the z offset, making sure the bottom screws are snug, ect. But I still get the same issue with it sticking on one print but the next none lifts. I have a cool plate ordered but I’m also looking for any tips to help the issue.
I solved my sporadic bed-adhesion issues by thoroughly cleaning the bed. Dawn works, so does washing the bed in the dishwasher without using the drying additive dishwashers often use. After cleaning the bed, I handle it only by the edges, never touching the center of the bed. I have resorted to using clean white cotton gloves whenever handling the bed. Using IPA doesn’t have much effect, for me, once the bed has been “contaminated” with skin oils.
You may test this yourself by cleaning the bed and carefully laying down a first layer to make sure everything is clean, then remove that layer, touch the bed with your seemingly clean finger, and then put down another first layer. You are likely to see the effect of a single fingerprint in that layer. To further impress yourself, wipe the bed with IPA and try again. My experience is IPA seems to smear out the oily fingerprint, but does not remove it.
