Dividing the K2 series forum into 2 is in my mind not required. I can understand having a multi colour thread that focuses on the CMS ONLY across all K series Provided that the user knows its a CMS problem. But do they know that when submitting a post ?
It is likely that if you divide them then users with just the K2 may not see (or expect) resolutions to their issue that are posted in the K2 with CMS thread.
Logically, in order to find a resolution to a K2 machine you would review the K2 forum and others would reach out to direct you elsewhere if commonality elsewhere is found.
I believe users want simplicity when trying to resolve issue.
Thoughts all ?
