The idea was to create a 5mm thick circular plaque and then assemble it with a 10mm high logo converted from jpg, then print the 5mm disk in one color, pause and then change filament to white for the logo. Ironing was turned on for all surfaces.
The image below was what I got. In several areas, the surface of the disk background did not iron, in fact it did not even complete as a normal (no ironing) top level. Can anyone suggest a fix?
Sometimes for a good flow of top layers, I just add more layers to the top layer…
It may help. For random parts that I use without it being the end result of dedication, the layers on top are not that valuable to me. But when I need the layers to melt into one another with a good “solid look,” I add layers to the top layer(s).
The outer part of the blue layer has a smooth ironed finish (I had ironing turned on for all top surfaces), it’s the small areas within the text and graphics which are a lot rougher.
I was still using V6 for this because I was having problems slicing some detailed stl’s with V7. Posted a question about that on the software section of the forum and just now got an answer which I think will let me use v7, so I will try that next time.
