I’ve recently started having an issue with my K1 Max where I’m getting fairly bad ghosting / ringing. It seems worse in the X direction (see images).
My printer is running the latest firmware and is rooted, with both fluidd, moonraker & mainsail installed using Guilouz’s script.
I use Orca slicer and have tuned the filament using the orca procedure.
In trying to track this down I have :
Lubricated the Y rails and cleaned the X rails.
Re-tensioned the bely with the printed belt tension meter https://www.printables.com/model/523382-creality-k1-belt-tension-meter
Loosened the corner screws of the upper gantry and moved the head backwards and forwards to try and re-square it.
Does anyone have any clues as to what to try next?
Some observations : There where no springs under the cable bracket on the toolhead, it was like that from new.
The toolhead does seem to have a little bit of ‘play’ when rotated in the y direction, perhaps a couple of mm, is this normal, if not is there a way of tighting it?
