The nozzle keeps dragging on my prints

Hello,

I just got my Creality Hi 2 days ago, and I already have 6 hours on it. But 5 out of these were test prints for troubleshooting.

The first issue I had, is the printer not doing automatic Z-Offset calibration, and scraping the print bed. So I manually adjusted and saved the Z-Offset using Fluidd.

But now, the nozzle keeps dragging on prints.

I tried raising Z-Offset and calibrating the Flow Rate, but the calibration result showed a slightly higher ratio : 0.99 rather than the default 0.97.

I adjusted the Z Offset again hoping that the issue would be solved, but it isn’t.

It keeps rubbing and scratching the prints, even if the first layer prints perfectly.

I didn’t want to mess with extruder settings since those will only affect the prints sent from the computer, and not the ones sent from the Creality Cloud app, hence the problem will persist.

I thought about a clog or partial clog, but the walls seem to be perfectly smooth with no artifacts.

However the top layer on my tolerance test print is really squishy.

Has anyone got this issue ? And can someone please help me solve it ?

Hi! It definitely looks like the flow rate is too big. I think the good way is to do filament flow rate calibration. You can find it in the Creality Print:

How to use Flow Rate Calibration? Everything you can read is here: Calibration Tutorial | Creality Wiki - go down to the Flow Rate and follow easy steps. After that you should get properly calibrated filament and you can try printing again.

Do you have possibility to adjust the z offset value manually? Let me know!

I did that and it was already rubbing on most of the samples.

I got the flow rate to 0.99

If the flow rate is not the problem, maybe z offset is too low, It should be set to the value, when you can put a sheet of paper between nozzle and bed
