trouble-shooting e cfs-lite

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a Creality SPARKX i7 with CFS Lite, and I am experiencing a persistent issue during multicolor printing.

Whenever the printer switches from the first filament to the second, the print head appears to lose its XY position. The second color is printed significantly offset from the first one.

Printer information:

  • Model: SPARKX i7

  • Multicolor system: CFS Lite

  • Firmware: 1.1.5.8

  • Slicer: Creality Print

  • Material: PLA

Problem description:

The first color prints correctly. However, after the automatic filament change, the printer starts depositing the second color in the wrong XY position.

The printed object remains firmly attached to the build plate.

Interestingly, the G-code preview in Creality Print shows both colors perfectly aligned.

Troubleshooting already performed:

  1. Created a simple 30 × 30 mm test object consisting of two stacked parts, each 6 mm high.

  2. Imported both STL files as a single multipart object.

  3. Assigned a different CFS Lite filament to each part.

  4. Confirmed that the sliced preview was correctly aligned.

  5. Repeated the test with different PLA filaments.

  6. Checked the PTFE tube routing and toolhead cable.

  7. Tested the toolhead movement along the X-axis. No obvious obstruction was observed.

  8. Confirmed firmware version 1.1.5.8.

Unfortunately, the problem persists.

My questions:

  • Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the SPARKX i7 and CFS Lite?

  • Could this be related to the filament-change routine or the purge/wipe sequence?

  • Could the printer be losing XY steps during filament changes?

  • Are there any specific calibration procedures or firmware-related fixes I should try?

I can provide videos showing the complete filament-change sequence, photographs of the failed prints, and the original 3MF test project.

Any help from the Creality technical team or other SPARKX i7 owners would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
