I recently purchased the Creality Chamber Heater because I wanted some nice prints with ASA, specially because the K1 is already enclosed and my prints were not strong as they could be. It was pretty easy to install: I put mine below the external fan with the wire coming out through the same opening as the PTFE tube in the top cover, and the 4 buttons are simple and intuitive.
However, I’m unable to use it without some fiddling. I set it at 70C (highest temperature possible) and waited a while. But, at the beginning of every print, there is a nozzle cleaning routine. And, during this routine, the build plate needs to reach 55C OR LOWER. Apparently I can’t change this value or disable this routine without root.
My solution was to turn the heater off and open the door while the temperature decreases. And then, right after the printing head moves again, turn the heater on. The other option is, if the printer is at room temperature (right now it is 35C in the chamber) and I send something to print at the same time as I turn on the heater, the nozzle cleaning routine finishes before the plate reaches 55C, and the chamber gets to 49C during the purge line, before stabilizing at 56C during print.
At the Creality Chamber Heater product page there’s no mention of compatibility with K series. But, considering it`s the only series with enclosure, there should be information about this problem. Or, preferably, a way to change the plate temperature during the nozzle cleaning routine!
