Vigram.A

Hey…I got a pop up on my computer for Windows Defender stating Vigram.A is on the computer from the download.

That is a computer virus. Why do you insist on putting computer viruses on the users’ computers when we are updating Creality Print?

There is a long discussion of the problem here: Creality Print v7.0.0.4127 - Adware:Win32/Tnega Detected in "Remove-Edge.exe" by Windows Defender
Vigram.A is the virus flag I got from the installer package. Once you install a different virus shows up. Luckily it is easy to remove and Print-7 runs fine with out the offending code (at least so far) After far too much research, I believe these are not actual viruses, but are instead a section of bad code that behaves like a virus. But then again, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.

I read through most of the articles and posts in this idea of Vigram.A being a computer virus. As it is now, others seem to be finding another computer virus when downloading the latest-greatest.

I see where some people get Microsoft Defender stating virus and MS Defender removing the download completely upon the downloaded time. That is where I am at now. MS Defender erases the download completely no matter what I do now.

I also saw in the posts that there are some files that can be erased or ceasing the MS Defender program may help.

The issue with allowing Creality to propose changes unwarranted or without notification, Vigram.A, is that I cannot conclude on what has changed and when unless I have an entire set up of developers handling such a task for me. I am not that rich nor can I afford the time taken out to figure out what changes and when.

This may be their, Creality personnel, issue as well. They may not be an enormous company with unlimited finances and development help. Either way, I purchased the product (K1C) and I am using it as is for now.

I have 6.3.x and will upgrade once things calm down a bit or once they can afford to get developers handling their time schedule and/or which route they should take in the 3D Printing world. I also noticed their chat client within Discord change tremendously. It is almost like they got rid of more than half their staff for whatever reason.

Creality provided me a link for version CrealityPrint_7.0.0.4128_Release.exe I am still scanning, but so far there are no viruses detected. I think this version is a fix.

Yeppers. The new one I just downloaded works without error. ?

One thing I noticed in the “working” download is that the Z_Axis changed a bit and it is accounting for some type of thicker bed and/or lower hotend on the Z. It can be changed thankfully. Mine was off a bit and I changed it to Z at -0.75mm and it is all working as expected.
