why is my canon printer not connecting to wifi

You might get an answer over at the Canon Printer Forum.
if it is an older printer that only communicates over 2,4 ghz you have to lower your security to wpa at the 2,4 ghz channel on the router. (the lowest wpa setting) after you have done that it will connect. you’ll have do it at your own risk of course.
