I understand that the 2025 PCB and hotend versions are incompatible individually with their older counterparts due to different connectors but if I install both the 2025 PCB and hotend will they work on the older machine or they just entirely incompatible?

Can I ask which hotend you’re using?
The hotend connector is different, you will need adapter wiring from micro swiss or newer hotend with new connector type.
