Ender 5 Pro - Writing settings to EEPROM

  • I am tuning my new Ender 5 Pro and have discovered the No EEPROM error. I've seen numerous discussions on this but haven't been able to find the correct solution.

Is it correct that the 4.2.2 board and the Marlin 1.0.1 combination does not allow writing to the EEPROM from the terminal?

I've read that to make TEMPORARY EEPROM changes you have to have an SD card inserted in the machine to hold the changes. Is this true? If so, how do you tell the terminal to write these changes to the SD card?

Is there a community firmware that gets around this stupid lock?
