Motherboard E1 Vref

I installed the DDX 3 v3 For Creality CR-10(S)Pro/Max and the instructions say that I need to adjust the VRef to .40. I have followed the instructions and I was able to get it down to .58 but as soon as I try to lower it any more the potentiometer breaks off. I purchased a new motherboard and the same thing happened. Is there a way to fix my motherboard?!

hi, @miketurnbull67 This printer may not be suitable for your modifications based on functional limitations of the motherboard.
