Random large blobbing on first layers
-
Im newer to the ender 3 but not 3d printing at all, so this one baffles me. Any time i print on the ender the first layers will be very rough and now it just randomly makes a big blob in any area for some reason i cant figure out, i have leveled it over seven times with no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

@jaytonix I had a similar problem with blobs a few weeks after I started using my new CR-10 V3. Having tried everything I could think of with no success, I eventually replaced the nozzle with a spare. This solved the problem.
I think some filament was collecting/sticking around the end of the nozzle, which was then randomly dumped on the print below. The original nozzle had developed a flat end: http://captainbodgit.blogspot.com/2021/04/3d-printing-time-to-replace-nozzle.html

if your filaments are dry, the only thing come to me is that your nozzle temp is too high.. the temp reading on your screen/console is not a reference until calibrated (it’s why you need to test each printer with a temperature tower model and chose the best stage result).. the devil is often in details, maybe you miss something somewhere.. have you found what cause your problem??

actually yes i have tried that, i think i did four or five different brands that worked on my other printer just fine but for some reason not on the ender, thanks for the tip though

hello, @jaytonix
- you can refer to this video for leveling: https://youtu.be/4JGLRgsLfHE
- It may be the reason that the nozzle is too close to the hot bed and plug;
- try to clean the nozzle and throat, and refer to this video: https://youtu.be/cjE_SnZ_vgk

@jaytonix
hi, some of my filaments do hazardous micro-bubbles when the humidity is >50% after 1/2 to 2 days in this environment.. have you tried to dry it before to use it?
(all of mines, when not used, are stored in a bag with silica beads)
