Bed Leveling: beware of the plastic bead!

Between use, a small bead of plastic can form at the tip of the 3D printer nozzle. It will be so small, as to be very difficult to notice with the naked eye.
If you level the bed with a cold nozzle, you may end up with a much bigger nozzle-to-bed gap than you expected.
Therefore, it is much better to heat the nozzle and retract or completely remove the filament before leveling.
It shouldn't be necessary to re-level the bed frequently, once the bed is properly leveled. Just avoid any rough treatment and it should stay leveled for quite some time.
