Firmware issue after Micro Swiss upgrade

  • Hey all, I've just installed the Micro Swiss all metal hotbed with direct drive, and have been unable to get a firmware to work. I've gone over several walkthroughs and YT videos, but to no avail. When I auto home the printer, the print head is off of the printer bed on both the X and Y axis, while the Z axis sits about 1 inch over the bed. I also do not have options for the auto bed leveling sensor. Can anyone help out, please?

    CR-Touch auto bed leveling probe.

    I've tried Marlin 2.9.0 and 2.9.1.

  • You can find instructions to fix these issues near the end of their installation guide. It provides start gcode lines to fix the offset and, as far as I remember, compiling your own firmware is required to use your auto leveling sensor on top of changing the E-step value. I had the same issue a while back except I followed a custom firmware guide for a BLTouch. I do not know what changes are needed for a CR-Touch.
