CR-10v3 with CR touch firmware
-
Hi everybody. I'm new to the 3D printing game and just got myself a CR-10 v3. I'm pretty satisfied of what I've printed so far. I also got a CR touch to improve on my bed levelling. Since I have a CR-10 v3, for what I understand, I have to update my firmware using the USB cable since there's no bootloader on the CR-10. The walkthrough provided by Creality for the installation of the new firmware used with the CR touch brings me to a .bin file which I can't use if I update with the USB cable. I've been looking everywhere for the right .hex file. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

For this model it is not needed as it is mentioned here https://www.th3dstudio.com/hc/downloads/unified-2-firmware/creality/creality-boards-creality/creality-cr-10-v3-firmware-v2-5-2-board/
You have to make the firmware by your self because the printer can be flashed by using usb only.

@MM3DMaker Hi again!
Just to be sure. To check the cpu version, do you have to physically look at the chip to see if it's a RET6 or RCT6 or is there another way to see it?
Thanks again for the support.

@MM3DMaker Thanks for the quick reply! It's really appreciated. I'm at work right now and I'll try to give you the information you requested as soon as I can so you can send me the .hex file. As for the bootloader, I tried to update the firmware using the SD card and nothing happened. That's when I started doing research and people told me about the CR series not having a bootloader.
