CR-10 Smart Pro auto leveling twice

  • If I add a G29 code in the startup gcode my printer goes through a 25 point (5x5) autolevel sequence twice. Here is what I see happen.

    Homes Z axis
Goes to the x and y zero points
Runs the 25 point (5x5) auto level sequence
    Goes to the home point
    Heats the hotend and bed
Turns off the hotend and bed
Runs the 25 point auto level sequence again
    Heats the hotend and bed
Extrudes some lines on the left side
    Starts the print

If I remove the G29 from the startup, it doesn't do any auto leveling. So I can choose between a very long auto leveling sequence, or none. What would be really great would be to have it do a single sequence with fewer points. The manual process only uses 5 points.

  • I did some additional testing. It appears this issue is caused by the Creality Cloud. I sliced a simple test object using Cura and my startup code includes a simple G29 code to run the auto leveling process. I saved the gcode to an SD card and uploaded it to Creality Cloud.

When I print from the SD card, it does the auto leveling once. When I print from Creality Cloud, it does it twice. If I remove the G29 from the startup code, it does not do any auto leveling.
