Blank LCD Screen Ender-3 v2
-
Hi community and Admin.
I just set up my printer today and wanted to update the firmware before getting started. I made a fresh SD card with the latest .bin from creality.com. But, unfortunately I accidentally put in the SD card that came with the printer "now the screen is blank". But does turn on and the fan runs.
Should I just install all new firmware for the motherboard and LCD?
Thanks for any help.

@Prydonian I'm in exact same spot as you. Did you ever fix it

Hey @Cheezzer,
I finally got around this issue by doing the following.
- Format SD Card
- Put just display firmware on card
- Flash display
- Format SD Card
- Put just printer firmware on card
- Flash printer
Doesn't make sense why formatting the cards before each step worked. I was already deleting the files between steps and had tried so many different combinations of flashing display and printer before this.

@Cheezzer Did you ever fix this?
The same thing has happened to me trying to compile and update to latest merlin - and now I'm just trying to return to the stock firmware.
Refreshed screen, turns orange, great. Refresh firmware - blank screen. Tried reformatting the sd card in windows, Tried reformatting the sd card with the sd association's official tool. Tried 3 different SD cards including the one that came with the printer. Tried 2 different sd<->usb adapters.... Nothing.

Did Admin's suggestion work? (it should have)

Dear @Cheezzer
Please refresh the motherboard firmware and display firmware.
- Refresh the motherboard firmware tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKIfwPgN0qs&feature=youtu.be
- Refresh the display firmware tutorial, format the sd card, then copy the display firmware to the sd card, then insert the sd card into the card slot of the display, then the display will automatically refresh the firmware, and the display will display orange That is to refresh successfully https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jswzrh2_ekk
