Ender 5 Pro 4.2.2 Marlin echo:No EEPROM.
-
Hi,
I'm trying to set my z offset using marlin gcode instead of using the control panel.
when i send the 'SENDING:M500'
I get: 'echo:No EEPROM.'EEPROM is where some of the data is stored and for some reason it seems that the one on my ender 5 Pro does not exist or its damaged. this is a 4 weeks old printer.
please help.Thanks,
David

@admin All this firmware does is make the unit chirp non-stop..... 4.2.7 board with a CR-Touch.

Dear @xxxic3manxxx
Could you please share more information about it? I will feedback to our after-sales team. To see if it is the firmware issue. Thank you.
-
@admin I have the same issue. I flashed this .bin to 4.2.2 board and the display chirps non stop. Something wrong with this bin.

@admin
The V.4.2.7 board has the same issue.
What when my heater breaks down and I have to replace it. I then need to adjust the PID according the newest readings from M303. When you can't save it to the EEPROM, one has to resend these values each time to the printer on startup. This is clearly not user friendly!!
The same with the BLTouch Z-offset.

@admin so, you agree the setting is NOT store on the EEPROM, but the Sd-card?
isnit wierd? i mean, if you have a faulty SD-card, then you can't run the printer without doing the calibration again and need to do this each time you have turn off the printer.i know the EEPROM memory is writeble, since TH3D firmware allow you to do this, so i dont know why creality holding this option back for consumer.

Dear @UNKNOW
You need to insert an SD card when setting the Z axis offset
-
i have the newest version installed with bltouch, AND no, the setting is not saving to the eeprom, its save to the sd-card,
i did as you said, bed leveling, then go into the z offset and dial in the number, then save it, so far so good, but if the sd-card is not insert and the printer have restarted, all setting is back to factory settings.
ask some of your tech guy to test it byself.

Dear @davidzohar
Please refresh this firmware, the SD card does not need to be inserted in the card slot all the timeEnder-5 Pro- Marlin2.0.1 - V1.3.1 - BLTouch.bin

@admin I have done store memory but it doesn't save it after turning the printer off. do I have to keep the sd card inserted all the time?
-
Dear @davidzohar
After adjusting Zoffset, you need to execute Store memory
-
@admin I don't understand. if i send gcode to printer to save it on the motherboard the ender 5 pro does not have this feature? i thought this is EEPROM
when i try to save the Z offset settings from the printer or using gcode the printer does not save it. what is the issue then? please explain.
Thanks,
David

Dear @davidzohar
The motherboard program does not enable the permission to store data from the outside, so it is not the EEPROM damaged
