How come
-
@Daverobbo1904 the thing is you have to respond to what the printer is doing and since the new lcd is the only way to respond it has to be there for the command to work otherwise the printer would just hang.
I’m now wondering if you can hook up a standard lcd screen and then it would work after compiling the firmware to use it.
-
@ncbob seems to be a long drawn out process for such a simple command
-
@Daverobbo1904 What a joke, part of the reason is because the filament change command requires an LCD screen in to be defined to enable it. Looks like Creality was just too lazy to implement it in their touch LCD.

Thank you

Dear @Daverobbo1904
If we have any updates will feedback you soon.
-
@admin if it does not support this can you tell me if there are plans ti update the software to enable it to work please thank you
-
Dear @Daverobbo1904 @spauliszyn
I have confirmed with our software engineer, the software does not support this function now, it just supports pause printing and then change the filament.
-
Dear @Daverobbo1904
I will feedback to our R&D team, and see if we can have a solution for it. Thank you.
-
@admin when I put in an instruction to change filament or the pause at height in the creality slicer via the post processing scripts it just ignores it and carries on printing
Thank you

Dear @Daverobbo1904
could give more details, why you can't change the filament? if you can provide a video would be better for us to understand. Thank you.

I second that @Daverobbo1904.
Can you (the Creality team) please instruct us how to perform a color change with the CR-6 SE?
