Resin Printer LD-002R, format of file error.

  • Hi, new to printing like heaps of us are, but I hope there are some experienced user's out there that can steer me in the right direction.

Every file I download that is an STL file, fails to print, and comes up with an error warning of '' unknown file format'' but the machine is supposed to take STL files is it not ?

When I look in the files for the demo models that come with the printer, they are not STL files, they are ctb files so whats that about ?

The sites Im going to are specifically for 3d printing, download and print they say.
Not so simple it seems !

When I try to find ctb files I have no luck, I find OBJ and STL and some other I cant remember, but its not ctb so what am I missing here, its obvious to me Im doing something wrong or not getting something about 3d files, does it stick out perhaps , what that is ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • You will need to process the STL file as it is the file format for the 3D model, however when you want to print the model it needs to be Sliced(processed) first for your printer to be able to use it. If you are printing on a LD-002R the best would be to install Citubox on your PC, you can then import the STL or other 3D models into the software. From there you can adjust exposure times, supports etc. Then you Slice the model and save it to your flash-drive, insert that into the printer, go to print and go to the file you just saved, it should start printing as soon as you hit the play button.

    Hope that helps
