Hi, I am 62 and retired through ill health.
I was a lorry driver delivering fabric all over UK. I have retired from driving now as it is too chaotic on the roads these days and too expensive to run a car.
My hobbies incluse collecting fountain pens, glass paperweights, DAB and vintage pocket radios, collecting and building soldering stations and lamps, also making desk or floor standing lamps.
I like making things fro wood and plastic tubes / pipes and guttering.
I bought a 3d printer last year and it was just a cheap Easythreed K9 from China and it taught me quite a bit and got me into designing things I wanted to print. I now have an Ender 3 and an Ender 3 V3 SE. Ther SE I like very much and I am repairing a cheap Ender 3 I have recently bought. I am waiting for a motherboard for it and have printed cable clips and gantry light brackets. I am also printing a tool holder for the Ender 3.
Some items I find quicker to make with wood than to print them, but I enjoy both worlds.
I live in Leicester UK and married having celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last February 2024. We have been together since 1984.
