I started 3D printing about a year ago, 2025 after buying a used Ender 3 v2 upgraded to Sprite Pro and mriscoc. As a hobbyist woodworker I got the printer was to make blast gates and connectors for a dust collector system.

Making money wasn’t my intention but I was fortunate to have a neighbor. an owner of a manufacturing company, asking if I could come up with a solution for a problem shipping the electrical transformer they make. I designed something he liked and now I’m printing 26,000 of the part. This went from hobby to a part-time job in a short period of time.

Along with the 3 v2, I now have a 3 S1 Pro upgraded to Sonic pad, 3 Max, K2 Pro and waiting for my 2nd K2 Pro. The K2 Pro was purchased the start of June 2026, After a quick 2 weeks, I’m really happy with the purchase. The second K2 Pro was ordered a few days ago .

Printing Elegoo PETG Rapid and Kingdoom PETG basic. I use FreeCad 1.1 and initially Cura then moved to Orca slicer.
