    • RE: V4.2.2 bltouch firmware for Ender 5 pro, no Z offset, incorrect home

      @powerlines2000
I had a similar issue, not sure its the same but try this:
Control > bed leveling > Probe Z Offset > [use the dial to select the desired offset]
Go back and select 'Store settings' (scroll down to find it)
and once more Go back and select 'Store settings' (scroll down to find it)
Also, one thing that drove me nuts was that if you don't keep the SD card in the SD card slot your settings will be gone if you turn the printer off. So make sure that your SD card is in all the time, during settings and during print...
      Hope this helps.

    • RE: Ender 5 Pro 4.2.2 Marlin echo:No EEPROM.

@admin I don't understand. if i send gcode to printer to save it on the motherboard the ender 5 pro does not have this feature? i thought this is EEPROM
when i try to save the Z offset settings from the printer or using gcode the printer does not save it. what is the issue then? please explain.
      Thanks,
      David

    • RE: Ender 5 pro V4.2.2 BlTouch installation question

@admin any answer on this issue? it seems that no matter what I do the printer does not save the z offset if the printer is turned off.
It seems that the printer doesn't save the Zoffset into the printer EEPROM. this a technical issue and might point to a defaulty main board. can you please ask your engineers what to do to resolve this. every time i want to print after setting the printer Z offset and turning off the printer for a few hours the print start way far from the bed. i have to set the Z offset over and over again to get the print after turning the printer off and sometimes even between prints.
      Please help!!!!

    • Ender 5 Pro 4.2.2 Marlin echo:No EEPROM.

      Hi,
I'm trying to set my z offset using marlin gcode instead of using the control panel.
      when i send the 'SENDING:M500'
      I get: 'echo:No EEPROM.'

EEPROM is where some of the data is stored and for some reason it seems that the one on my ender 5 Pro does not exist or its damaged. this is a 4 weeks old printer.
      please help.

      Thanks,
      David

    • Ender 5 Pro Print start way far from the print bed after installing BLtouch

      @admin
I have installed BLtouch as you described in https://forum.creality.com/topic/340/ender-5-pro-v4-2-2-bltouch-installation-question/5
I followed all the instruction and run into a strange behavior.
when i send a print to the printer the print start way far from the nozzle so the filament come out in the air!
the z axes offset is set to -2.3. the print bed at the beginning of the print (when the nozzle start to extrude filament for print) is at z axes +28. way too far.
do I need to adjust this manually during print? this can cause damage to the bed, nozzle and printer overall.
      what am I missing?
      Thanks,
      David

    • RE: Ender 5 pro V4.2.2 BlTouch installation question

@admin I have fully followed the instruction in the video, offset the z measurement.
i noticed that the movement on the z axes can be more then the limits, this can damage the printer.
is there a way to limit the endstops in the software? I think I saw something in Marlin that the software limits can replace the endpoint switch.
after all we removed the z end switch and nothing prevent the bed to go up beyond the max point.
can it be done using the control unit?
      Please advise,
      thanks,
      David

    • V4.2.2 laser engraver

      Hello,

Is there a way to connect the laser engraver constantly to the board or do I need to switch the blower fan with the laser every time I want to use it?
Does that mean that I need to reconnect the blower fan back when I want to use the nozzle for printing?
Ideally there will be a connection for each without the hassle of opening the board and replacing the connection between print to laser.

      Please advise,
      Thanks,
      David
