The trick that did it to me was the new firmware files needs to be called "firmware.bin".

RE: Ender-6 update screen firmware
I am in the same boat. I find it insane that @Creality just dumps a bunch of files with no instructions how to do the updates. The firmware update, I get it but there is clearly something specific you have to do to update the Screen Firmware. Since the screen is a separate module, I would not be surprised if you have to open it up from the inside. But what do I know there are no instructions.
@Creality if you want Ender-6 to be a success please provide documentation for it.
RE: Firmware for Ender 6 to support BL touch V3.1
I can confirm that the firmware 184.108.40.206 and BL touch 3.1 do play nice together.
Hi, I have BLtouch version 3.1. The cable between the BLTouch and the PCB has only 1 JST connector for the BLTouch. The other end of the cable just has female headers to connect to the adapter boards.
Do you know which JST connector is needed to connect to the PCB mounted to the frame?
BLTouch version confusion
I got Ender-6 with Firmware version 1.0.4. Done bed level and tuzi test print, all works well.
I also bought BLTouch 3.1 of Amazon, but on the box it says suitable for V1 mainboard. I've looked around on the Ender and I can only see the spider board showing V1 on it.
Is that what the v1 mainboard is suppose to relate?
Would I still need to downgrade the firmware to 1.0.2-BLtouch? or did the BLTouch functionality get rolled in the newest version?
The BLTouch is a Creality product.
Thanks for advice in advance.
