    • RE: LD-002H Wobbly turn screw tower

Meaning I can wiggle the tower back and forth. Should it have that much give?

No, mine has no give at all. It is rock-solid. Your problem seems to be a somewhat common issues with resin printers from China (screws that hold the z-arm getting loose during a long transport). You have to tighten the relevant screws. I don't know where those are on the LD-002H. Other forums suggets to open a door on the back to get access but mine doesn't have one. They might mean a door on the bottom. Didn't check, dont' have this problem.

    • RE: What is the content of the U Disk? Missing in the package.

      What is its content

Nothing of importance. An outdated version of Chitubox (the latest version is a download away at https://www.chitubox.com/en/download/chitubox-free), two examples (sphere and Eiffel tower), a minimal user manual (which you have received in printed form), a short video (same as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1amXAoSXlY), which seems to contain bad advice because they level without a piece of paper under the platform at 1:09 into the video and a "Common Hardware Faults" document (2 pages). Since the original stick sticks out and looks exceedingly ugly, I use a Sandisk Ultra Fit 16GB instead, which is small, black and hardly noticeable. You need to download a 3D CAD program to create parts (https://www.freecadweb.org/downloads.php is nice but watch some youtube tutorials) and you need the afore-mentioned slicer Chitubox, to convert the stl files created by the CAD program to files that the printer understands. That's all.

    • RE: Where is the question I posted - re: a film of cured resin on the fep

flash the newest firmware, is 4.3.16

Where can 4.3.16 be found? I've flashed the firmware from https://www.creality.com/download ("LD-002H UI firmware 3_5_LD-002H-2020710.bin", 28/Jan/21). Afterwards, the firmware version is still 4.3.9, according to the info menu. The file name suggests it is a firmware from 10/July/2020.

    • RE: calibrate

there are an information or guide to learn how to calibrate my printer?

Since various 6" mono printers (at least Creality LD-002H, Elegoo Mars Mono) are basically the same, with moderately branded firmware from Chitu, you can refer to the pdf manuals and youtube instruction vidos (calibrating Z axis, calibrating chitubox with test prints) from various other printers if you get stuck, e.g. https://github.com/rkolbi/My_Mars2Pro_Accessories/blob/main/MARS-r2.md

    • RE: Where is the question I posted - re: a film of cured resin on the fep

My wild guess (as a newbie) would be that the display can not completely block the strong UV light in this printer, so a small amount gets through everywhere, potentially creating a thin skin that might begin floating around. Maybe this problem is amplified by having a high bottom exposure time. What values do you use - time and layers?

I wonder if the fact that this printer has a central light source (not a matrix) has something to do with it, too. The rays from such a light source will probably not be perpendicular to the LCD everywhere, so the view angle of the display comes into play.

PS: I find it annyoing that almost none of the questions in the manufacturer's own forum are addressed by the manufacturer.

    • Creality's flexible build plate did damage my printer

I just bought and installed Creality's flexible build plate for the LD-002H on my brand new Creality LD-002H - and I'm very disappointed because it immediately damaged the printer: After pressing home, the plate went down and then came a terrible crunching noise: The handling tabs of the steel plate had hit the walls of the vat and did scratch the black. The steel plate has large tabs and the vat of this printer is quite small. As a result, the clearance between the tabs and the walls of the vat is absolutely minimal. The slightest misalignment of the steel plate on the magnetic build plate will damage the printer. This is a stupidly designed product (I can only assume this is a flexible plate that was originally produced for another printer with larger vat, such as the Mars): The tabs should be smaller for the Creality LD-002H and possibly on the shorter sides. Also, the flexible build plate should come with instructions that warn users that damage is possible. As it is, it comes with ZERO instructions.

    • RE: not reading from USB

@admin said in not reading from USB:

empty the U disk, only save the firmware in it ... automatically refresh after turning on

There are 3 firmware files listed for the LD-002H in the download section: Mainboard FW, screen FW and UI FW. Should these files be copied to the USB disk at the same time or should they be flashed sequentially, and if so, in what order?

Is this process safe, can it be repeated if it fails?

The FW files are very fresh - apparently relased today. Is there a way to go back to the old firmware in case the new one has a serious problem (in other words, can one get older FW files from you if necessary)?

      Thanks.

    • Manual (pdf) of LD-002H downloadable?

Can the manual of the LD-002H be downloaded somewhere before the purchase?
